PTFE

PTFE products combine excellent chemical, electrical, frictional and thermal properties, making it a premier performer in demanding applications. Fluroplastics have the ability to opperate in the most corrosive and abusive chemical environments at elevated temperatures without being attacked. The electrical properties of fluroplastics in terms of dielectrics, dissipation (power) factor, arc resistance, and volume resistivity are extremely good, making PTFE the ideal material for critical electrical applications in the aerospace, computer and electronic industries.

In addition, PTFE has one of the lowest coefficients of friction available in plastic materials.
