High density polyethylene is produced in two standard formulations: natural and black colour, with improved UV resistance for outdoor applications. It has good electrical insulation properties and chemical resistance.

Fabrication of many items is performed by hot air welding with welding rods of the same material. High density polyethylene sheet is widely used for cutting boards in the meat and food processing industries.
