Polyphenylsulphone
(Black)
|
PPSU 1000 stock shapes are produced from RADEL® R resin. This material offers a better impact strength and chemical resistance than PEI 1000 and PSU 1000. PPSU 1000 also has superior hydrolysis resistance as measured by steam autoclaving cycles to failure. This material has virtually unlimited steam sterilisability which makes it an excellent choice for medical devices that are subjected to repeated steam autoclaving. Maximum continuous allowable service temperature of 190ºC. |
 |
Polyetherimide
Natural
(yellow/translucent) |
PEI stock shapes are produced from ULTEM® resin. An excellent material for use in applications requiring both high heat resistance and good mechanical performance at elevated temperatures (maximum allowable service temperature of 210ºC for short periods and 170ºC continuously, together with very low flammability and low levels of smoke evolution during combustion). PEI 1000 is extremely suitable for electrical/electronic insulators and for a variety of structural components requiring high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures. |
 |
Polysulphone
Natural
(yellow/translucent) |
PSU 1000 stock shapes are produced from non-UV-stabilised polysulphone resin. It offers good radiation stability, low ionic impurity levels and good chemical and hydrolysis resistance. This material has a maximum allowable service temperature of 180ºC for short periods and can continuously be used up to 150ºC. PSU 1000 has a lower property profile and often replaces polycarbonate when higher temperature resistance, improved chemical resistance or autoclavability are required. |
 |
Polyetheretherketone
Natural
(brownish grey/black) |
KETRON PEEK is an ideal material for applications where an excellent performance under extreme conditions of temperature, chemical attack, high energy radiation, electrical duty, etc., is required. Ketron Peek 1000 stock shapes are produced from virgin polyetheretherketone resin, offering the highest toughness and impact strength of all Ketron Peek grades. Not only is it FDA approved for use in contact with foodstuffs, but its excellent sterilisability by means of steam, dry heat, ethylene oxide and gamma radiation, make this grade very popular in the medical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries. |
 |
Polyphenylene Sulphide
Deep blue |
This reinforced, internally lubricated polyphenylene sulphide grade offers a valuable combination of properties with respect to wear resistance, load-bearing capabilities and dimensional stability, when exposed to chemicals and high-temperature environments.
TECHTRON HPV PPS finds its applications where PA, POM, PET, PEI and PSU fall short or where PBI, PI, PEEK and PAI are over-engineered and a more economical solution must be found. |
 |
Polybenzimidazole (PBI)
Black |
CELAZOLE PBI an unfilled thermoplastic, combined with its unique property profile, high temperature resistance, good mechanical property retention might provide the ultimate solution when no other plastic material can. Celazole parts offer a combination of properties that allow them to excel in applications requiring low wear and long life in severe environments. It is a very appealing material to high-tech industries such as semiconductor, aircraft and aerospace industries. Maximum allowable service temperature - 310ºC continuously, 500ºC for short periods. |
 |
Polyamide-imide available in 3 different grades
4203 PAI; 4301 PAI;
5530 PAI |
TORLON PAI grades combine excellent retention of mechanical strength, stiffness, dimensional stability and creep resistance over a wide temperature range with extremely low thermal expansion up to 250ºC.
TORLON 4203 PAI offers the best toughness and impact strength of all TORLON PAI grades. Because of its intrinsic high temperature resistance, high dimensional stability and good machinability, extruded TORLON PAI grade is very popular for precision parts in high-tech equipment, including electrical components.
TORLON 5530 PAI, compression moulded, 30% glass fibre reinforced grade offers higher stiffness, mechanical strength and creep resistance than TORLON 4203 PAI. It is well suited for structural applications supporting static loads for long periods of time at high temperatures.

Polybenzimidazole |
PBI offers the highest temperature resistance and best mechanical property retention of all unfilled thermoplastics. PBI is very "clean" in terms of ionic impurity and does not outgas (except water). These characteristics make this material extremely attractive to high-tech industries. |
